Employees of the Keonjhargarh Municipality are on a protest agitation against the “misbehaviour” of Vice-Chairman Saroj Sahoo to one of their senior colleagues. The office work has come to a halt following the protest.
According to an FIR lodged against Sahoo at the Town police station, he along with two other Councillors had badly misbehaved with senior Tax Sarkar Hrudananda Mishra using filthy language after calling him to his office on Thursday afternoon.
The employees’ union after a meeting decided to go on an agitation against Sahoo demanding his arrest. However, Sahoo, when contacted, denied the charges against him.
The ADM in the presence of the Municipality Executive Officer held discussions with the employees to amitigate the problem, but employees remained firm on their stand.
