A girl student was killed and five others were critically injured when a wall of an Ashram school collapsed on them at Chakapad in Kandhamal district on Sunday.
The wall of the Bastingia Ashram School gave in on the students at around noon killing Rasmita Kuanr of Class VII and seriously injuring five others, sources said.
The injured were admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The condition of the injured is critical and doctors are planning to shift them to the MKCG Medical College Hospital at Brahmapur, the sources said. The mishap occurred while the students were playing in the school’s verandah.
