Additional District Judge Rajendra Kumar Tosh after examining 15 witnesses in a murder case convicted the accused, awarded him life imprisonment and imposed on him a fine of Rs15, 000. The police had registered a case in 2013 on a complaint by the father of deceased Namita Kanhar that her husband Bhimsen Kanhar of Bulungi had killed Namita by pouring on her kerosene and setting her ablaze on August 1, 2013. Namita and Bhimsen had married 12 years ago.
