Demanding formation of a separate Koshal State, members of the Koshal Kranti Dal (KKD) led by Pramod Mishra, Bharat Prusti and Prabhas Mishra staged a token hunger strike before the Mahatma Gandhi statue here on the Gandhi Jayanti day on Wednesday.
Besides, special Gram Sabhas were held in many areas under the auspices of the KKD on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The KKD appealed to the people to pass a special resolution at the Gram Sabhas demanding formation of a separate Koshal State.
In the entire “Koshalanchal”, symbolic hunger strike was observed before the Gandhi statues to spread the message of a separate State of Koshal.
The KKD would further intensify its agitation, said Pramod Mishra.
