The OAS Officers’ Association in Keonjhar district has condemned the attack on the Ghatgaon tehsildar while he was holding a meeting on mines tender in his office on September 6.
In a meeting of the association held here, presided over by ADM Bhakta Charan Pradhan, the members signed a resolution demanding arrest of the culprit involved in the crime and police security to the Ghatgaon Tehsildar.
Tender papers were opened in Ghatgaon Tehsil office for a stone quarry lease where an applicant along with his followers allegedly forced inside the office premises, attacked the official, damaged office furniture and threatened to kill the Tehsildar.
The applicant complained about irregularities in the tender process and alleged that the Tehsildar and some employees were involved in the goof-up. FIRs from both sides were lodged and police have started an investigation.
