One Krishna Chandra Tirki (37) under Bamebari police station of Keonjhar district was arrested and court forwarded on charge of attempt to rape a minor girl on Monday.
Sources revealed that the victim aged 11 years is a resident of Jhumpura block and happens to the cousin sister of the accused. She had been living in the house of the accused for last 6 months to take care of his children.
But the accused who is a driver by profession was trying to keep illicit relationship with the minor girl and even failed in his attempt to rape the girl two times earlier. On Sunday, when the accused tried to repeat the same thing in a lonely time, the victim told some people about the illegal activities.
