District Collector BP Sahoo has stressed on a need based action plan and improvement in facilities in the Banspal hospital.

Prakalpa, a local NGO has been engaged for managing the day-to-day affairs.

Apart from Government supply of medicines, a buffer stock of many other medicines is now maintained in the hospital for free

distribution to the patients. The hospital has been equipped with testing lab, canteen, DG set, free ambulance service and extra beds for patients.

Banspal, which tops the State in malaria, infant mortality, malnutrition, MMR and many other diseases was lacking adequate health services. Operation of Banspal CHC under PPP mode will surely help in improving the health standards in the region, CDMO Dr B Moharana said.
