Education is the key to transformation,” said Chief Minister Naveen Patniak during his visit to the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here on Saturday.
He inaugurated a newly-built library-cum-learning centre sponsored by the Tata Steel and a new campus of the KISS University.
Addressing the 25,000 KISS students, he said the KISS is the leading tribal institute in the world. He congratulated the KISS staffs, faculties and management for getting the university status. The KISS is pride of Odisha; it would bring more recognition to the State after getting the university status, he said.
“Students, you try to change your family as well as your locality and community,” he advised.
KIIT and KISS founder Dr Acyuta Samanta expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for coming to the KISS for the first time after it became a university.
