The KISS Foundation on Monday extended its help to the Bhubaneswar-based India Charity Foundation Trust, which is working for the disabled persons. On the occasion of the International Disabled Day, KISS Foundation head Dr Achyuta Samanta donated Rs 1 lakh for the sake of self-reliance of disabled persons through the trust whose head Tuna Prusty received the donation.

Dr Samanta has been providing assistance personally to this trust at different points of time. The 25-member trust resolved to become self-reliant recently and this was communicated to Dr Samanta. Following this, Dr Samanta extended his helping hand to the trust and advised them to purchase a Sal-leaf plate manufacturing machine. The trust members assured Dr Samanta to earn Rs 3,000 per month through this machine which would contribute towards its self-reliance.

The day was observed at the KISS. Placing their struggling stories, as many as 75 students and staffs of KISS narrated how they have been able to stand on their own feet after getting education at the KISS.
