The KISS in association with the Orissa State AIDS Control Society (OSACS) observed the World AIDS Day with a spectacular sight as 15,000 tribal students of KISS made a human chain to organise themselves into a massive Red Ribbon formation, pledging solidarity for the cause of HIV/AIDS.
The students pledged to volunteer efforts for achieving zero infection in the State by the end of year 2020. The activity was documented as an attempt to claim as 'largest Human Chain in Red Ribbon Shape' for entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Health Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat joined the occasion as chief guest while Higher Education Minister Dr Pradeep Panigrahy and Health Secretary Dr Pramod Kumar Meherda were present, among others.
