Kinnars of the city greeted Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi for placing various problems of transgender people in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the Transgender Person (Protection of Right) Bill 2019, which was passed in the House on August 5.
Over a hundred Kinnars led by TG Surakshya Trust president Menaka holding photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sarangi waited for the MP to arrive at the city airport on Friday evening. As she came out of the airport, the kinnars offered her flower bouquets and expressed gratitude to her for raising voice in favour of the kinnar clan and passing of the Transgender person Bill in the Parliament.
Among others, Bobby Kinnar, Reena Kinnar, Payal Kinnar, Mamata Kinnar, Jyotsna Kinnar, Shubha Kinnar and Kinnar Mahasangha president Pratap Sahoo were present.
