The KIIT University will host the 4th Annual Conference of the Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium (ESRUC) 2013 here from November 1 to 3.
The theme of the conference is 'Investing the social, cultural and global issues along the Silk Road'. The conference would be participated by more than 200 Vice-Chancellors and Rectors from different universities of Eurasian countries.
This year, the convention is being held in India at the KIIT University. The Eurasian Silk Road Universities Consortium decided to hold the conference at the KIIT because of its wide international exposure. The KIIT has students from 60 different countries and is a member of more than 50 international educational bodies and institutions. It is for the first time that such a type of conference is being held in Odisha.
Besides academic discussions, the members would deliberate on issues relating to mutual cooperation, joint research, exchange of students and faculties, informed KIIT VC Prof PP Mathur at a Press meet on Wednesday.
