The KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI) has been chosen as one of the five incubation partners of innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX), a Government of India Defence Ministry initiative that aims to achieve self-reliance and foster innovation and technology development in the Defence and aerospace sectors.
This was announced at the Manthan Programme during DefExpo-2022 at Ahmedabad on Tuesday in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and other Defence top guns.
The KIIT-TBI will build Defence-related startups' capacity and mentor them towards scale. The agreement was signed between KIIT-TBI, represented by its CEO Dr Mrutyunjay Suar and iDEX. This is an important recognition and a great opportunity to work for the Indian Defence innovation ecosystem, said KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta.
