Team Hermes Racing of the KIIT University secured the top position in the Virtual SUPRA SAEINDIA-2013, a prestigious Formula One car design competition held at the university on September 20 and 21.
The competition was open to all SAEINDIA Collegiate Clubs of engineering institutions, colleges and universities across the country. Students from 174 engineering colleges participated in the event.
The KIIT team was captained by Dipam Chatterjee while Prof Isham Panigrahi was the faculty advisor. The second position was won by IGIT Women’s Engineering College, Delhi and the third by Accelerators, MIT, Pune.
