The School of Management of the KIIT University organised its 4th National HR conclave in association with the National HRD Network (NHRDN) on the theme ‘Power of choice transforming the talent landscape’ here on Saturday.
The conclave was inaugurated by NHRDN national president Rajeev Dubey, who is Group HR & Executive Board Member Mahindra & Mahindra.
Delivering the first keynote address, NHRDN Bhubaneswar Chapter president Dr Saroj Mahapatra stressed that the HR conclave is an example of a perfect symbiosis between industry and academia. He also emphasised upon the importance of talent spotting, talent development and talent mapping in the managerial arena.
KIIT University Vice-Chancellor Prof PP Mathur stressed the need of self-efficacy in the youth to exercise the power of choice. Keeping in mind the contemporary and captivating theme of the conclave, School of Management Dean Prof Ashok Kumar Sar said the HR symposium was a step forward to strengthen the platform for disseminating knowledge.
NHRDN Director General Kamal showcased the initiatives of the NHRDN in developing skill and talent in the youth of today. Rajeev Dubey, the keynote speaker, delivered a motivating speech on the need and importance of a dream and vision supported by a will to transform it into reality. He said “innovation” is the key to success in an organisation.
On the occasion three interactive corporate sessions were held on the themes of ‘Power of choice in talent acquisition’, Power of choice in talent development’ and ‘Power of choice in talent engagement’.
