The KIIT University has become the country’s first university to begin implementation of SAP using the Big Bang approach.

SAP(I) is facilitating implementation work in all schools of the university in four areas, financial accounting, materials management, human capital management and students life cycle management.

The kick-off programme for SAP implementation, named Eklabaya, was held on Wednesday, which was graced by eminent persons including Founder of KIIT & KISS Dr A Samanta and the SAP India Vice-President (Services).

Enterprise Applications Management (EAM) Division, KIIT Head Prof Nihar R Beura said the SAP implementation would help in integration of all the business processes across the schools and ensure transparency by providing right information to the students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders.

The SAP Vice-President said the applications would not only add immense value to the KIIT operations but would prove to be instrumental in reinforcing the leadership role of the KIIT in the education sector.
