The KIIT School of Management’s (KSOM) 7th National Management Convention on “The Dynamics of the Education to Employment Journey: Opportunities and Challenges” beginning on Friday attempted to capture the practical challenges and emerging opportunities in bridging the large gap between education and employment.
At the inaugural session of the two-day event, KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta welcomed the eminent invitees, delegates, guests, faculty and students.
Shobha Mishra Ghosh, Senior Director, Education, FICCI and Debabrat Mishra, Director, Hay Group, India delivered the keynote address. KIIT University Vice-Chancellor Prof PP Mathur, KSOM Director Prof Anil Bajpai and KIIT Registrar Dr. Sasmita Samanta addressed the gathering.
The convention saw large participation from the academia and the corporate from across the country.
More than 60 selected papers were presented on sub-themes.
The institution conducts such conventions and conclaves throughout the year not just to expose the students to the real challenges faced by the industry, but also to bring back focus into doing research in various fields of management to create new insight and knowledge.
