The KIIT Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in partnership with the 99 lEAP organised a Hackathon and startup pitch under the aegis of the Social Incubation Program “INVENT”, a joint initiative of DFID-UK and TDB-DST supported by the Villgro, in Ranchi.
More than 70 enterprisers participated including Sociovation 2.0, which sought to identify solutions to the problem through intense brainstorming hackathon and discover social impact ideas with sustainable model through startup pitches.
Department of IT, Government of Jharkhand, Director was the chief guest.
The jury comprising of eminent academicians from XlRI, IIM Ranchi along with Angel Investors heard the pitches.
The winners of the startup pitch were awarded with cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
Representatives from different industrial bodies, Government Departments, Jharkhand leaders, budding entrepreneurs, academicians and policy framers participated.
KIIT TBI’s formal entry in Jharkhand envisages a commitment to provide a strong eco-system for those impact ideas realising into value proposition through its different incubation programmes.
