The Odisha State Child Rights Commission rescued three children below 10 years of age while riskily showing a Baunsharani game on a rope in front of the State Guest House here on Thursday.
A girl was showing game on a rope to the tune of song and music being played by her and other two children’s mothers there while Commission member Rajlaxmi Das and Sandhyabati Pradhan reached there. They stopped the girl from showing the girl and called for a PCR Van. Then, they handed over mothers of the children to the police. The members warned the mothers not to engage children in the Baunsharani game as it violates their rights. Similarly, they asked spectators not to enjoy such games displayed by any child. Action can be taken against them as per law if they do so further, warned the members.
Then the Commission issued notices to all police stations in the city to ensure that children are not engaged in Baunsharani game in their respective jurisdictions.
