Many children under the banner of the Brahmapur City level Children’s Federation on Saturday met Southern Zone RDC Sanjay Singh and Sub-Collector Paban Kalyan and urged them to incorporate ‘child friendly’ components in city planning and development programmes.
They demanded for child clubs, children report cards, sanitation drive, and wall magazine in the city slums and requested them to seek children’s views and opinion in matters of city planning and development programmes and urban governance.
Among the children’s federation members, Smruti Kumari Sahu of Raghupati Nagar, Amit Das and Dandakalia Das of Gaudabandha Street, Rudra Das of Ambapua and Raja Das of Dhimira Street and from Youth Clubs, Bala Das, Rinky Patra and Pinky Das discussed with the officers. YSD’s Shashikant Das, Abhiram Kanhar, Srinivas Dora, Chandan Kumar Sahu, Sujata Bisoi and Suchitra Rout were present.
