In a brave act, villagers of Chotipalanga in Khordha district nabbed seven looters while they were trying to commit robbery from a fish godown on Thursday night.
According to reports, as many as nine miscreants came to the village by four motorbikes. While they were inside the godown with an intention of loot, the villagers caught holded seven of them and locked them in a house.
However, two of them managed to flee the spot by two bikes.
On being informed by the villagers, the Khordha Town police reached the spot with a platoon of force and arrested the miscreants. Two motorcycles, knives and sharp weapons and mobile phones were seized from the criminals’ possession, sources said.
