A general body meeting of the Odisha Amala Treasury Sangha, Khordha district branch was held at the District Treasury Office premises on Sunday.
Pramod Kumar Das presided over the meeting that had a discussion on various problems faced by the treasury employees.
The Sangha members expressed their resentment over the apathetic attitude of the district administration towards the treasury employees.
The members put forth a series of demands, including promotion of treasury employees, additional salary of seven days for extra work in March, filling up of vacant posts in sub-treasury and treasury offices and provision of computer skill training at regular interval, etc.
On the occasion, the body elected its new office-bearers for the next two years. The new members are Bibhudutta Mishra (president), Saraswati Subudhi (vice-president), Deepak Ranjan Tripathy (secretary), Prabhat Satpathy (joint secretary) and
Subrat Chandra Paikray (treasurer).
