Non-implementation of written promises made by the Khordha SP vis-Ã -vis a fatal accident three months back has been decried by the victims’ families.
The family members have threatened to approach the Human Rights Commission and the High Court to get justice.
On March 5, a PCR van had hit a motorcycle on the Nachuni-Tangi road. In the accident, a person was killed and another person sustained critical injures.
In protest, locals blocked the road. They withdrew the stir only after the SP came and assured them that a Government job would be given to a family member of each victim.
Besides, Rs 2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will be given to the two families and free treatment to the injured.
Though three months have passed, not a single promise has been implemented, alleged family members.
