The Khordha Mahotsav-2018 would be organised by the New Thinking Forum at the stadium here from December 15 to 21, informed forum president Narendra Kumar Prusti at a Press meet on Thursday.
The Khordha Mahotsav is being orginised since the year 2000 for promotion of the culture and heritage of Khordha. This year, about 200 stalls would be put up and fairs on agriculture, health and clothes would be organised. Besides, Minabazaar, Ramdoli and dance programmes would be held to entertain children.
Dances like Odishi, Sambalpuri, Kuchipudi, Bhangada, Bihu, Paika Akhada and Danda Nrutya would be performed by artists coming from different parts of the State.
On the occasion, Dr Kali Prasad Mangraj and Dr Madhusudan Senapati (both doctors), Bishuba Milan Samiti editor Jnana Ranjan Das, educationist Dr Sharat Chandra Mohapatra, ‘Amari Satya’ founder Dr Pramod Chandra Dash and many yoga gurus, social activists, literrateurs would be felicitated with the Khordha Samman, said Prusti.
