Vigilance sleuths on Saturday arrested assistant engineer Sanjaya Ketan Nayak of Khordha block for demanding and accepting a bribe of `21,000 from contractor Dipak Kumar Kodmasingh of Saradhapur village in Khordha district.
Nayak had demanded the bribe for preparation of second RA bill towards payment of `2,17,000 in the favour of the contractor.
Kodmasingh later informed the matter to Vigilance. Following this, a trap was laid by Vigilance officials and Nayak was caught red-handed. Investigation is on into the case.
