As per the assurance given by the Khordha Road DRM recently to inspect a site spotted for a passenger halt at Ankuli industrial area in the city, a technical team of the Khordha division under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) visited the spot on Saturday. The team led by Khordha Rail Division Commercial Manager Tribikram Mishra inspected the site and said the locals that they would finish their inspection very soon.
On Saturday, residents of Ankuli area had decided to postpone their previous decision to stage rail rok on June 2 demanding functioning of a passenger halt in their area after getting assurance from the ECoR. The Silpanchal Passenger Halt Sangram Samiti (SPHSS), which had taken the rail rok decision, had declared the decision after holding discussion with officials of the Khordha DRM.
