The Begunia police on Thursday arrested and court-forwarded five miscreants involved in the Khordha ATM van cash loot which took place on Gediapalli-Gobindpur road on May 12.
The arrestees were identified as Pintu Majhi, Umesh Sahu and Subrat Kumar Pradhan, Pitambar Pradhan and Mithun Behera of Nayagarh district.
Accused Pintu and Umesh were arrested near Kalachua Mundia after getting injured in an encounter with police on May 18, informed DSP Om Prakash Patra in a press meet here on Thursday.
The three others were arrested on information provided by Pintu and Umesh, added Patra.
Begunia PS IIC Rashmi Ranjan Sahu said that several criminal cases are pending against them at different police stations.
