The Vigilance police have traced assets of over Rs 1 crore of Fakir Mohan Jena who works as an Amin at the Balianta Tehsil Office of Khordha district.
Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, Jena’s double storied building at Brahmeswarpatna, Bhubaneswar, single storied building at Binoba Nagar, Puri, paternal house at Kapileswarpur, Trutiyasahi, Brahmagiri, Puri and office room, Balianta were
simultaneously searched on Monday and his assets were calculated to be worth Rs 1,12,07,207.
The assets include his several building in Bhuaneswar and Puri, 17 plots of land at Kapileswarpur, Bharatipur, Bhainchua, Jagannathpur, Andilo and Panchalo, besides ornaments, bank deposits, insurance and vehicles, etc. Jena started his service career as a copy writer at the Settlement office, Puri in 1987 and his service was regularised in 2015 as Amin.
