The CBSE Centre of Excellence conducted a Khelo India National Fitness Assessment Programme for physical education teachers at the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur here on Friday.
Chief guest CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathy highlighted the aims and objectives of conducting the workshop to revive the sports culture in India at the grassroot-level especially among the school children. CBSE Skill Education and Training Director Dr Biswajit Saha, Skill Education Joint Secretary RP Singh, Joint Secretary Dr Praggya M Singh, CBSE Centre of Excellence, Guwahati Head Dr Sandeep Jain, Bhubaneswar Regional Officer T Mate and School Principal Dr KC Satapathy also spoke.
In the workshop emphasis was laid on use of modern gadgets and technologies to identify and nurture the sporting talents at school-level. Dr SP Dutta, Uma Prasad Rao and others were the master trainers where more than 70 sports teachers of the State participated.
