Kharbela moves court against CM, Vig Dir

As the Commissionerate Police did not register an FIR filed against the Chief Minister and the Vigilance Director in connection with the former DGP Prakash Mishra case, Utkal Bharat president MA Kharbela Swain moved the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court here on the issue on Tuesday.

The former lok Sabha member filed a petition in the court praying to admit the same as a criminal conspiracy hatched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Vigilance Director KB Singh against Prakash Mishra by filing a 'false graft' case against Mishra with malafide intention of scuttling his chances of being elevated to the coveted post CBI Director then.

Swain had earlier filed an FIR against the CM and the Vigilance Director at the Capital Police Station here. After failing to get justice from the police, Swain has taken recourse to judicial system.

Such a move has been taken in the wake of the Odisha High Court's verdict in favour of Prakash Mishra and strictures against the State Government and its Vigilance wing.
