The Nikhil Utkal Aliya Khandayat Samaj, Bhubaneswar Mandal celebrated its 28th annual convention here on Monday. Attending as guest, Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani urged the organisation’s functionaries to work dedicatedly for helpless women and building future of meritorious students.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena urged the youths to work for building a healthy society and democratisation of organisations.
Corporator Raghunath Mohanty, Biswamukti secretary Sasanka Chudamani also spoke on the occasion.
Hundreds of people and students participated in drawing, essay, debate and Manabasa Jhoty competitions and the winners were felicitated with prizes. Many Khandayat people from around the city and functionaries joined the programme.
Among others, Mandal Parishad president Jayanti Padhiari, VP Ashok Kumar Rout, secretary Pratap Kumar Jena, joint secretary Pramod Kumar Jena, organising secretary Padmacharan Nayak and treasurer Bhajram Mallik were present.
