The Vigilance police on Thursday caught Keonjhar district’s Hatadihi block Education Office Head Clerk Pradip Kumar Sahu red-handed while demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 5,000.
He was caught accepting the bribe from one Benudhar Sahu, an Assistant Teacher in Kushatikiri UGUP School under Hatadihi block, for processing the file of Benudhar’s arrear salary for the period from October to December, 2016.
His office room at Hatadihi and residential house at Tillo village in Bhadrak district were searched. Sahu was arrested and forwarded to court.
