Binod Das, son of Dharanidhar Das of Rajnagar village on January 18, 2010 had gone to Hyderabad with one Bipracharan Padhihary, a middleman of Badanaukana village.

He was lured by the middleman that he would able to earn more than `7,500 per month in construction work. Binod used to telephone the family members for a couple of days after reaching Hyderabad. However, suddenly he stopped doing it.

When the worried family members asked Padhihary, he said that Binod and a few other workers had fled the camp and hence, none is aware about his whereabouts. On being urged to help search Binod, he got infuriated and threatening Dharanidhar of dire consequence.

Dharanidhar went to Hyderabad by borrowing money from a local money lender about a year ago. But he failed to get any information about his son and returned home empty-handed.

Dharanidhar alleged that as he is poor so nobody was taking any steps to provide him justice, though finally he lodged an FIR against Padhihary at the Rajnagar police station.

When contacted, Rajnagar police station IIC Bijay Kumar Mallick stated that he would conduct an inquiry in this regard soon.
