A 34-year-old youth was stabbed to death by his elder sister-in-law and her paramour on Friday as he opposed their extramarital affairs at Olavar under Rajkanika police station.
Pattamundai SDPO Umashankar Moharana said deceased Binod Bai used to oppose elder sister-in-law Bijay’s extramarital affairs with fellow villager Surajit Bai alias Babuli.
On Friday, an altercation erupted between Bijay and Binod. At this, Bijay along with her paramour Surajit
went on stabbing Binod with a knife at their village road.
Villagers rescued Binod in critical condition rushed him to the Rajkanika CHC and subsequently to to Aul CHC where he succumbed.
The locals nabbed Bijay and handed over to Rajkanika police on Friday night. The deceased’s mother lodged an FIR. However, Surajit was yet to be nabbed.
