The Congress councillors of Kendrapara civic body on Saturday skipped the Self Governance Day and staged an agitation with party activists at the Old Bus Stand near the Mahatma Gandhi statue wearing black badges.
They protested large-scale corruptions in the civic body and its failure to provide basic amenities to the denizens. The protested the negligence to repair the main road from Tinimuhani to Angulai lying dilapidated over the years.
They also came down heavily on the civic authorities for failing to utilize Central funds on various development projects in the township and their mismanagement.
