Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted a raid on residences and office of Bijay Kumar Mishra, Assistant Engineer of Kantapada Irrigation Sub-Division, while acting on a disproportionate assets complaint lodged against him.
Mishra’s house at Chakoda, his paternal house at Naladia Sasan, father-in-law’s house at Haripur, his office at Kantapada and his rented house at Fulnakhara were raided simultaneously.
Mishra’s three storied building at Chakoda was valued at `32.75 lakh and a single-storied building and a luxurious car together valued at `4.5 lakh. Besides, it was found that Mishra owns a bike, 50 grams of gold ornaments and 15 lIC policies and operates 9 bank passbooks.
Valuation of the disproportionate of assets accumulated by the Assistant Engineer was still going on, informed AN Mohanty, Kendrapada DSP.
