Students of the Krushachandra Gajapati Autonomous College here have knocked at the doors of the district Collector demanding filling up the Mathematics lecturer post in the college.
Students of Plus Three Science second year complained that as there is no Mathematics lecturer in the college for the last one year, they have to study in private tutorials. They have repeatedly informed the college authorities regarding the matter. Even during the visit of Higher Education Minister to the college on August 15, 2016 they had brought the matter to his notice.
The Minister had assured them that the Mathematics lecturer post would be filled up by November. But as the assurance has not been fullfiled till now, the students have submitted a memorandum to the district Collector and said if the demand is not fulfiled soon they will sit on a dharna. Among others, Toni Behera, Prakash Kumar Nayak, Murali Majhi and Diptimai Dalei were present.
