Senior IAS officer Tuhin Kanta Pandey, who returned from a Central deputation recently, was appointed as Principal Secretary of the Finance Department on Thursday.
A notification has been issued by the General Administration Department in this regard. Pandy took charge from Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan, who was in additional charge of the department.
Panday has experience of handling State finances in the Planning Commission for five years. Similarly, the State Government handed over additional charge of Information and Public Relations Department to SC and ST Development Secretary Surendra Kumar.
Besides Women and Child Development Secretary Vishal Dev was given additional charge of the Sports and Youth Services Department.
