Resentment continued to grow among Congress leaders in the State over distribution of tickets with yet another senior one resigning from the party on Friday.
Sudarshan Kanhar of Kandhamal district resigned from the primary membership of the party citing displeasure over denial of party ticket to contest elections. He sent his resignation to Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik.
“I was given the party ticket for the Phulbani Assembly constituency in the 2014 elections. I had got 21,500 votes. But I did not get a ticket for the upcoming elections, for which I decided to quit the party,” Kanhar said in his resignation letter.
