Noted mountaineer Kalpana Dash added another feather to her cap by climbing the world’s second highest peak, Aconcagua, on January 16. Sources said Kalpana with 12 other trekkers started her journey on January 4 from the Andes hill range of South America. But only 10 of them, including Kalpana, reached the destination point at around 3.30 pm (Indian Time) on January 16 after 12 days of tedious Journey.
Kalpana told The Pioneer that she had hoisted Shree Jagannath Bana along with flags of the SBI and the Adani Groups, which had sponsored her journey. She is undergoing treatment at Bhubaneswar now.
