KALIA full of flaws, betrayal: BJP

Published on:

The BJP on Sunday said the KALIA Yojna is not meant to protect interest of farmers rather it has been announced to use State funds for meeting BJD election expenditure.

“The State Government could not make a list of small and marginal farmers, landless labourers and sharecroppers even as five years have passed. A question is raised as to how the Government identified farmers and included them under the KALIA scheme. There are lakhs of sharecroppers in the State.

The act of identifying farmers at gram panchayat level is not legal. Hence the KALIA scheme is full of flaws and meant to betray farmers. It will open flood gates of corruptions,” said BJP senior leader Bishwabhushan Harichandan. Stating that the BJP would prepare a poll manifesto with focus on State’s development, he urged common people to keep their demands on the website, http://bjpodishasankalppatra.com.
