Basing on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, Vigilance sleuths on Thursday raided assets of Trinath Sahu, Panchayat Executive Officer, Kendupati Gram Panchayata under Bhawanipatna block in Kalahandi and traced his assets of over Rs 1 crore.
The locations raided include his residential building at Nuapada, Bhawanipatna, panchayat office at Kendupati, panchayat office at Godabhata, both under Bhawanipatna block, and house of his younger brother at Nuapada in Kalahandi district.
Sahu had entered into service in the year 1985 as Panchayat Secretary with a pay scale of Rs 500 and now is designated as Panchyat Executive Officer and receiving gross and net salary amounting to Rs 30,000 and 20,000, respectively.
The movable and immovable assets traced were one triple storied building located at Nuapada, Bhawanipatna of Rs 51,56,000, three home stead plots at Bhawanipatna of Rs 44,00,000, besides a Hyundai car, etc.
