\Rajnagar BEO Manoranjan Sethy on Tuesday suspended one Prasanna Karan, headmaster of Rajendranarayanpur Primary School as he duped MDM money allotted during Covid period meant for students of Pataparia Project Primary school without distributing among the students.
If sources are to be believed, as the school remained close during Covid 19 pandemic,the State Government had allotted 100 gram rice and a sum of Rs 5.42 for each student , studying from class 1 to class 5th , and for students of class 6th to class 8th ,the State Government provided 150 gm rice and a sum of Rs 8.10 to each.
However, Prasanna Karan,who was the headmaster of Pataparia Project primary school, allegedly withdrew Rs 91,000 from the school account four days before he was transferred to the Rajendranarayanpur Primary School. Later, he didn’t distibute it among 374 students of the school.
Rajnagar BEO Sethy took a complaint in this regard seriously and directed ABEO Subash Chandra Mohanty to conduct an inquiry and submit a report.
