In a significant development in the course of the construction of the Khurda-Balangir railway line project, Boudh District Collector SK Rout on Thursday handed over a total of 26.180 acres of private land acquired in three villages to the Balangir Railway Assistant Executive Engineer for construction of the rail track.
Notably earlier, a total of 772 acres of Government land had been handed over to the Railways for the construction of the much-publicised project.
