The people of Kendrapada district are jubilant over the induction of Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Pratap Keshari Deb in the latest ministry reshuffle by CM Naveen Patnaik.
The people of Biju Karmabhumi thanked CM Patnaik for reposing faith on Nayak, MLA of Mahakalapada and Deb, MLA of Aul, and giving them Cabinet berths.
Notably, Kendrapada district had not got a Minister berth for last half a decade. The people of the district feel that by taking the two Ministers from the district, the CM has given a lot of emphasis on the district’s development.
While Deb was made the Minister of Industries, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Energy, Nayak got the Food Supplies and Consumers Welfare, Co-operation berth. Both the portfolios are important.
It may be noted here that Deb, who won from Aul segment for four times in 2000, 2004, 2009 and 2019, was earlier a Minister of Food Supply and Consumer Welfare (Independent). Nayak won from Patkura seat in 2004 and later in 2009, 2014 and 2019, he won from Mahakalpada Assembly seat. He was earlier made Minister of State (Independent) Energy from 2009 to 2012 and then Minister of State (Independent), Health and Family Welfare and I&PR from 2014 to 2016.
