In a break from tradition, the organisers of puja pandals here during the ongoing Lakshmi Puja have decorated their pandals with images presenting current social issues.
The aim is to create awareness among the people and pull a large crowd, said the organisers.
The pandal has images and replicas depicting the Corona pandemic, Tunguru Bhol-Barsha love story that was a hot issue in social media, besides scenes from South India movie “pushpa”
The puja organisers created awareness on global pandemic ‘Covid 19’ by erecting idols with emphasis on spreading message to wear masks to contain the spread of infection in crowded places.
According to the puja organisers, the Tunguru Bhola-Barsha illicit love issue was despicable and should not be followed. The motto is to create awareness among the public not to indulge themselves in such a love relationship, they said.
