The Janata Vikas Manch (JVM) will release a draft paper on roadmap to make digital Odisha at a State-level seminar on ‘Internet, Social Media and Mobile Technology: Challenges and Opportunities in Odisha’ scheduled to be held here on May 1.
This was informed by JVM and Digital Media Strategist founder member Sai Prasan here on Tuesday. Experts from various sectors related to internet, social media and mobile technology will explain the effective use of modern media tools at the seminar, he added.
Identifying the challenges in making Digital Odisha, Sai Prasan said a large portion of the State do not have electricity or regular power supply Bad internet, mobile connectivity, digital divide and low penetration of computer are some of the major problems in the State.
At the seminar, deliberations will be held on challenges before internet, social media and mobile technology. Experts will also review the role and contribution of the State’s IT Department along with the Odisha’s Computer Application Centre (OCAC) in the growth of digital media in the State.
