Narsinghpur Forest Division personnel have arrested one Kumar Pradhan (45) of Uparpeta village on charges of hunting and killing a tusker.
later, Pradhan was sent to jail after his bail petition was rejected by the court on Friday.
As per the reports, the body of a 40-year-old elephant with bullet injuries was recovered from Kundumula Talakholi.
Besides Kumar, three more persons are involved in this jumbo killing incident, the Forest officials said. DFO Arun Mishra said that the rest three accused will be apprehended soon.
