On Saturday, a 55-year-old woman, identified as Nua Dei Kisan, who was separated from her husband and living alone for last 15 years in Madhuban Nagar under Orient Police Station, was found strangled to death by an unknown person.
On finding her aunt Nua Dei's body, his nephew informed at the Orient Police Station.
A police team found two empty bottles of country liquor and some meat near the body but it was yet to trace the murderer.
Orient Police Station Inspector In-Charge Sarang Dhar Panigrahi informed that after registering a case, the police are investigating the matter.
