The Jharsuguda Town Congress has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the township area.
A delegation comprising the party’s town unit president Bharat Awasthy along with senior Congress leaders met SP Uma Shanker Das on Thursday and demanded to look into the problem and improve the law and order situation in the town.
They said cases of loot, dacoity, chain-snatching and firing are occurring in broad daylight while thefts have become regular affair. Police have not been able to find any information about the miscreants. local people are worried about their and safety.
The Congress demanded police patrolling to ensure safety of people and cases relating to violence against women.
The SP assured the delegate to look into the issues.
